the problem with autism is sometimes you want to do something (brave) but you need someone to gently walk you through each step so you know what will happen. and people don’t like doing that
this could definitely present its own problems and all (particularly legally i’m sure.) but man. there should be a network for delivery drivers where we can keep each other updated on which houses in the area have aggressive dogs that the owners Do Not keep secured or under control. so we can like….try to be cautious when we’re approaching the house. it’s not even a matter of “oh they have a closed gate, i’d better be careful!” because first of all that doesn’t always mean there’ll always be a dog in the yard. second of all Literally exactly half the times i’ve had trouble in the past year, they either didn’t have a gate at all or left it wide open with their dog in the yard. like that’s a huge matter of safety for us and nobody really seems to give a fuck. lmfao

maybe this is a hot take but i think people’s obsession with the found family dynamic and the need to call every friendship a “sibling dynamic” or something in that vein is not actually moving towards a better appreciation for platonic relationships as people like to claim that it is because people have just moved from framing everything as romantic because it fits into a nuclear family structure to framing everything as family-oriented because it fits a nuclear family structure as if friendship alone isn’t enough. which is exactly the opposite of the point that people claim to be making. i have nothing against the found family trope inherently and i am never looking to police the way people enjoy media but i think the reason found family has latched on to the collective fandom consciousness so much is because it fits easily into the structure of relationships that we have been taught to see as the model just as with romantic pairings and i wish people would be happy to just call characters friends and understand that that is a meaningful and profound relationship in and of itself.
Scientific fraud is the most baffling thing ever to me like do they think they’re just going to make a huge breakthrough and no one will notice that it’s fake by trying to replicate their results
